‘Houses in front with a penalty, Mitch Carter added their second and Tom
Littlewood reduced the arrears on the stroke of half-time. Copmanthorpe
recorded their biggest away win in over 10 years as they thrashed Easingwold

to go to the break but two goals in as many minutes saw Cop leading 3-0 at the

Featherstone and Olly Bird, Simon Webster hit a consolation effort for the
hosts.
After
two home defeats Aviva bounced back into contention for promotion in Division

their 12 match unbeaten run with the late penalty. Fulford slipped to their

double before Glen Littlewood hit the winner for Thorpe and end a 8 match
winless run for the Selby side.
Barmby

following their 3-0 home defeat to Civil Service – their first home defeat of
the season. Civil Service’s James Windle proved to be difference between the
two sides as he hit all three goals for the visitors. A George Trifian brace helped F1 Racing open up a nine point lead at the top
of the table following their nervous 2-1 home win over Ouseburn but they have
played more games than the other challengers. Sporting Knavesmire trailed at
the break to a Steve Gagen goal at

Whilst
the early rounds of the Senior and Junior League Cups have been devoid of major
surprises the Reserve League Cup produced two major shocks which saw two Reserve
A sides been dumped out of this years competition and another couple just
scraping through into the next Round
Reserve
A side Huntington Rovers travelled to Reserve D side Civil Service for the
third successive year and it proved to be third time lucky for the basement
league side as they came from trailing 2-0 at the break to level the game and
they then won the penalty shoot-out. Rovers goals came from Gaz Hurst and
Graham McDonald with Mark Lund and Gareth Srain replying for Civil Service. Reserve
A side Copmanthorpe entertained Reserve C side Hemingbrough and duly took the
lead inside the first five minutes through Graham Butcher but the visitors refused to lie down and levelled through Mike
Young before goals from Liam Gautry and Mike Brown sealed a creditable 3-1 win
for Hemingbrough.
Reserve
A side Old Malton were pushed all the way by Reserve B side Tadcaster Magnets, Richard
Stevenson gave the Ryedale side an early lead but Taddy levelled 10 mine from
time to send the game into penalties which Old Malton won. Riccall were another
Reserve A side almost embarrassed by a side from the lower leagues as they won
3-2 against Reserve D side Crayke, on target for Riccall were Brett Collier (2)

from Jamie Barkway as ‘Houses won 5-2, Joe Hamilton hit the second Saints goal.
The other ties went to form, Reserve B leaders
White Horse defeated Tockwith 3-1 with goals from Tom Parnaby, Kyle
Hesling and Adam Beavers and promotion chasing Easingwold Town from Reserve B
proved to be far to good for Reserve D side Wheldrake as they won 12-1 which
include four goals for John Dye and a hat-trick for Andrew Metcalfe (Snr). Dan
Combes hit four of Rowntrees goals in their 8-1 home win over Bishop Wilton to

still in the hunt for another Cup Final appearance after they defeated Stamford
Bridge 3-2, John Cooper scored twice to put Strensall in front but the visitors
